The AI Anthropologist.
I’m Dr. Juliana Novic, though most people call me Julie. I’ve spent eight years working with AI, first building and deploying it and then helping organizations govern it. Through all of it, the same lesson keeps coming back: technology problems are almost always people problems underneath.
Archeonut AI is where those two parts of my career meet. I bring rigorous AI governance expertise and a trained anthropologist’s curiosity about how organizations really operate.
Because the org chart is never the whole story.
Anthropologists are trained to notice the gap between what people say they do and what they actually do. In AI governance, that gap is where the risk lives: in the workaround, the unofficial tool, the decision that happens in a hallway instead of a committee.
So I start with ethnographic discovery. I listen, observe, and map how work really flows. Then I design governance that fits, so it gets used instead of ignored.
“Archeonut” is a nod to my roots: someone who can’t resist digging beneath the surface.
